ProductionHistory

Founded in 1961 for cylinder production, filling and delivery operations, Gazsan Likid Gaz Ticaret ve Sanayi A.Ş. was separated into two parts, namely industrial and commercial divisions. As a result, the industry and production company Gazal Gaz Aletleri A.Ş. was formed. In 1964, industrial cylinder, valve and regulator production commenced followed by camping cylinder production in 1967. In 1975, the first cylinder export took place, and in 1991 Gazal moved from Yarimca to its new facilities in Gebze, becoming one of the most technologically advanced factories in the sector. In the same year, regulator production surpassed 1 million units annually.

As the bulk LPG market grew during the early 90’s, Gazal founded its tank factory in 1998 and reached an annual production of 4,500 tanks in 2000. In 2001, Aygaz A.S. and Gazal Gaz Aletleri A.S. merged after almost 40 years, and Gazal continued its operations under the Aygaz umbrella.

The factory, which previously operated in Gebze, began operations at the Osmaniye Toprakkale Plant in 2026, located on a 53,000 m² site.

Located in the Osmaniye Organized Industrial Zone and built on a 53,000 m² site, the facility has an annual production capacity of 3.5 million steel LPG cylinders. Equipped with state-of-the-art technologies, the Toprakkale Plant holds the following certifications: ISO 9001 Quality Management System, ISO 14001 Environmental Management System, OHSAS 18001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System, ISO 10002 Customer Satisfaction Management System, ISO 50001 Energy Management System, and ISO 27001 Information Security Management System.

More than 700 product varieties manufactured by Aygaz since 1962, including 80 million steel LPG cylinders ranging from 4.95 L to 120 L, are currently in use in more than 60 countries worldwide.

Cylinders
