Strategy

As part of our ongoing work on Aygaz’s sustainability strategy, we thoroughly address all our focus areas on our long-term value creation journey. Sustainability topics also inform our corporate strategy. Accordingly, we established a dedicated Sustainability Department in 2023, accelerating our efforts and determining our sustainability strategy.

We defined our short-, medium- and long-term goals around four pillars: “Carbon and Energy Transition,” “Circular Economy,” “Social Responsibility” and “Governance.” Our primary product LPG is a lower carbon energy source compared to other conventional fossil fuels. We aim to position LPG as a transition fuel, given the inequalities in access to energy in the process of transitioning to lower carbon energy. Furthermore, we strive to optimize our water consumption and improve efficiency to reduce the potential environmental impact of our operations. We also plan to develop projects to reduce waste generation from our production. Accordingly, we set targets for energy efficiency and transitioning to lower carbon fuels.

Keeping our focus on our sustainability strategy and goals, we seek lower carbon business opportunities, starting with hydrogen and biofuels.
