The embossment on cylinders shows only the brand name of the cylinder and does not guarantee the safety of the cylinders. When you buy your Aygaz cylinder, make sure that it has the hologram lid, which guarantees that all safety controls have been completed and that the cylinder has not been opened.
When you see the hologram lid, you can be sure that your Aygaz cylinder has been completely filled and that it has not been opened. If you wish, you may make a note of the purchasing date to determine how long it lasts to confirm that it has been completely filled with 12 kgs of LPG.
Different brands of cylinders have different lids, but the hologram lid is not a feature that every brand has. The hologram lid that Aygaz cylinders have is unique to the Aygaz brand. Hologram lids cover the valve completely and feature 6 mm-long grey, bright hologram strips. When you look at the strips from different angles, you can see the three layered Aygaz and Koç logos. You can be confident that every Aygaz cylinder that has a hologram lid is completely filled and safe.
Most of the problems experienced with cylinder LPG are caused by lack of information. Therefore, we have equipped all home cylinders with an information card containing warning information. With these information cards, we seek to inform you about the matters that should be taken into consideration when using cylinder LPG. You may easily access the cylinder usage information on the card.
The mechanism that establishes the connection between the cylinder and the device is important with respect to safety. The pressure regulator ensures the safe operation of LPG powered devices by means of regulating the outlet pressure of the gas in the cylinder. To secure a proper gas flow, an impact, heat and pressure resistant double layered hose with a strong interior wall and thermo material should be used with Aygaz cylinders. Remember to connect the hose to the pressure regulator and the device by using clamps and to replace the worn out, cracked or hardened hoses. To facilitate the use of Aygaz brand equipment with your Aygaz cylinder, we have prepared the Safe Connection Set, which is composed of a double-locked Aygaz metal pressure regulator compliant with European standards and a 1,5m hose and clamps, the features of which are described above. Tüpünüzden azami fayda sağlamak için, tüpünüzle birlikte cihaza uygun dedantör kullanmayı kesinlikle ihmal etmeyin. The specifications and gas pressure levels of cookers, water heaters or conventional heaters are different (i.e. kitchen type pressure regulator is 29 mbars; bathroom type pressure regulator is 39 mbars). The use of improper pressure regulators result in the failure to consume the gas in your cylinder completely and the failure to use LPG efficiently. Practices such as putting the cylinder in a horizontal position or inserting it in hot water in the belief that the gas in the cylinder has been depleted too soon also pose risks.
You should change your hose every 3 years and your pressure regulator every 10 years. The hose between the cylinder and the device should be in one piece and its length should not exceed 1,5 meters.
Ensure that your cylinder is installed by the service personnel. If you believe that there is a possible leakage from the seams, you should check it by using soap bubbles or the Leakage Control Liquid that we have prepared exclusively for such incidences. Detection for leakages should under no circumstances be made by using an open flame (match, lighter etc.) In the event that leakage from the seams occurs, remove the pressure regulator and inform your dealer immediately.
The mechanism that establishes the connection between the cylinder and the device is also important with respect to safety. Pressure regulator ensures healthy operation of LPG driven devices by means of regulating the outlet pressure of the gas in the cylinder. For a healthy gas flow, impact, heat and pressure resistant double layered hoses with strong interior wall and thermo material should be used with Aygaz cylinders. Do not forget to connect the hose to the pressure regulator and the device by using bracelets and to replace the worn out, cracked or hardened hoses. Practices such as putting the cylinder in a horizontal position or inserting it in hot water thinking that the gas in the cylinder has run out sooner than expected also pose risks. To make the most of your cylinder, make sure to use a proper pressure regulator with your cylinder.
Ensure that your cylinder is installed by the service personnel. Possible leakages from seams should be detected by using soap bubbles or the Leakage Control Liquid that we have exclusively prepared for you. Detection should in no way be made by using naked fire (match, lighter etc.). In case of a leakage from the seams, remove the pressure regulator and inform your dealer immediately.
You would put your safety at risk by attempting to have your cylinder filled yourselves. The hologram lids on Aygaz cylinders indicate that they have been filled at Aygaz facilities and feature the Aygaz safety measures. Cylinders filled at Autogas stations or at warehouses that do not have a license to conduct cylinder to cylinder transfers should be considered unsafe because as the customer you are unable to know the composition of the gas used or even whether it actually is gas. Illegal filling presents serious risks to both the customer and those who fill the cylinders.
LPG, also known as cylinder gas, is a colorless and odorless gas. However, LPG is aromatized at the refineries in order for a possible leakage to be detected immediately. The gas is composed of 70% butane and 30% propane. It is an inflammable gas heavier than air.
Inhalation of the propane and butane contained in LPG has no poisoning effect. However, in the event of a prolonged gas leakage, the amount of air (oxygen) in the environment decreases due to the LPG being heavier than the air and the insufficient intake of oxygen may cause problems. What should I do in the event of a gas leakage? In order to avoid accidents, make sure that your LPG powered devices are installed in accordance with their operation manuals. Keep in mind that LPG powered devices use the oxygen in the air. Therefore, fresh air circulation in the rooms where such devices are used is of vital importance. In the event of a leakage: - Air out your house by opening doors and windows. - Shut off the valve on the cylinder. - Disconnect the pressure regulator from the cylinder immediately and take the cylinder out into the open air. - Avoid acts that would cause ignition (lighting matches or lighters, switching on or off electric switches, opening refrigerator doors). - Sweep up the hollow area and corners with a broom and ensure that the LPG that settled on the floor due to its being heavier than air is discharged into the open air. - Inform your authorized Aygaz dealer immediately. In the event of exposure to gas leakage, the person should be taken out of the room. If it is not possible to take the person out of the room, the room should be ventilated and the person should be given artificial respiration if necessary and medical assistance should be called for as soon as possible. Skin contact with LPG should be avoided. Serious skin burns may occur due to cold burning. In such cases, a doctor should be consulted. For a cylinder to explode, an increase of the pressure inside the cylinder would have to reach extremely high values (50 bars and over) or be exposed to fire longer than a certain period and in both case, the safety valve would have to fail to open. The idea of “exploding cylinders” is actually an explosion caused by the combination of the gas in the environment with a source of fire.
Aygaz, which has earned your trust through the high quality it has maintained over the years, has unfortunately been targeted by imitators. Many attempts have been made to copy the look of Aygaz cylinders in color and in shape. Be sure to look for the Aygaz brand mark on the lateral side of the cylinder you purchase as well as the blue information card and most importantly the hologram lid. Keep in mind that every grey cylinder is not Aygaz.
The lids of all the small cylinders on the market are similar. The fact that these cylinders can easily be imitated and removed without being damaged or deformed makes the cylinders vulnerable to being pirated or to have incomplete fillings. This puts the life and property safety of the consumers at risk. To address this problem, Aygaz started equipping the small cylinders with hologram lids for the first time in Turkey following the home cylinders. These hologram lids guarantees that Aygaz small cylinders have been completely filled, are safe and not pirated. Choose Aygaz cylinders with hologram lids when buying small cylinders to avoid wasting your money and putting your safety at risk.
