Founded as a partnership between Koç Group and Mobil Oil T.A.Ş. in 1963, Mogaz Petrol Gazları A.Ş. is one of Turkey's first LPG distribution companies. The company operated as part of the Mobil Oil T.A.Ş. - Koç Group partnership using the Mobilgaz brand and the trade name of Mobil Petrol Gazları A.Ş. until 1993, at which times it was wholly purchased by Koç Group, and the company’s commercial activities continued under the trade name of Mogaz Petrol Gazları A.Ş. The company conducted cylinder gas, autogas and bulk gas sale and distribution across Turkey using the Mogaz and Lipetgaz brands, becoming the first company in the country to provide direct distribution of cylinder LPG to customers, and the first company to produce and sell Odorless LPG. In 2004, the operation of Mogaz facilities was transferred to Aygaz to ensure increased efficiency through centralization of production facilities. This cooperation continued with the merger on January 22, 2031 of Aygaz and Mogaz A.Ş., which was providing distribution under the Mogaz and Lipetgaz brands.
Lipet Likit Petrol Gazı ve Yakıt Ticaret A.Ş. joined Mogaz in late 2003. In 2004, the operation of Mogaz facilities was transferred to Aygaz to ensure increased efficiency through centralization of production facilities. This cooperation continued with the merger on January 22, 2013 of Aygaz and Mogaz A.Ş., which was providing distribution under Mogaz and Lipetgaz brands.
Aygaz launched carboy water distribution in 2011 in order to use its distribution network more efficiently and to open up a new line of business for its dealers. With water obtained from two springs located at Uludağ and Nazilli, Pürsu sells water in 38 cities more than 400 dealers. With a strong distribution network, quality service approach, and focus on health and hygiene; Pürsu has soon become a leading brand in the bottled water industry.
